Coming up with an adequate title for this book has been an interesting process. After much mulling over I nixed “The Good, the Bad and the World Beyond it” sub-title. This latest is truly a fit – “Wolf in Shepherd’s Clothing”.

Why the new sub-title? The founder (also reknowned for his science fiction writing) and those later put in charge were quite brilliant at marketing. As such they were able to manipulate thousands to not only devote their entire lives but give away their life savings and their children too- all for something that is not truly a religion nor a legitmate non-profit. In effect, this cult is yet another case of “our tax dollars hard at work.”

While they appear to stand for and do good things, that’s part of the deception as is their leader’s statement “We have millions of members all over the world”. For the record, their membership is in low thousands at best and nearly half of thoses are “religious volunteers” aka staff members. They have long since been sited for photoshopping to make their sparsely attended events appear otherwise.

All in all, my purpose is not only to reveal the “Art of the Scientology Cult Con” but how easily we humans manipulated by powerful, greed driven people, can have disastrous consequences. 

My hope is that those reading what I have to share will be more diligent in choosing who and what to trust whether it be local, state, country or beyond. The choices we make and how we hold ourselves in this world has impact. No matter how small our acts are in the present somehow they will determine our quality of life in the years and centuries to come. 

While I didn’t keep a diary, I have a pretty good recall of my past. I will do my best to share what I observed and/or experienced as honestly as possible. If I am not clear on the facts, I will say so.
